Meet the Owners

Dani, Evan, Obi. Bakers and their puppy

Hey, we're Dani & Evan.

We never planned on owning a bakery, but Healthy Body Bakery has been part of our lives for a long time. Evan has known HBB's founder, Angela, since he was four, and Dani found HBB years later during her own journey of rebuilding a healthy relationship with food.

When Angela was ready to retire, we couldn't let something that had helped so many people disappear.

Today, Evan is the creator, always developing recipes and taking on the challenge of making something new. Dani is the personality and the vibe, bringing the aesthetic, storytelling, and energy that makes HBB feel like us.

We're big on community, fitness, simple living, and caring for people. And that's really what HBB comes down to for us.

We want to make really good food from thoughtful ingredients, help people enjoy food without fear or foodie remorse, and create a place where people feel welcome.

We have big dreams for where HBB can go, but one thing won't change:

We're in this for the people.

Angela’s Journey

Angela struggled with her relationship with food for many years, until she became a mother. With the birth of her daughter, Kelsey, she was inspired to set an example by eating only real foods that nourish the body.

As a former college athlete, she understood the importance of fitness and healthy food. Hitting the gym with renewed strength and energy, she was encouraged to go into bodybuilding. The pinnacle of her success was winning the Miss Tennessee Bodybuilding competition in 2008, and then being a nationally ranked USA Track & Field sprinter in 2012 and 2013. During this time her highly curated meal plan included the carrot muffin and oat bar recipes she had developed with Kelsey (her daughter).
